Annual Football Banquet
Thursday, March 12th, 2009

The 2009 Banquet was a huge success and we were all thrilled to have some of the members of the 1959 City Championship team attend. They brought an inspiring video done by NFL fims that showed the history of the 1959 Monsignor Bonner football City Championship Team. We were also blessed to have 2 great motivational speakers, Matt Rhule former Penn State football player Academic All Big Ten '97 & current Offensive Coordinator for Temple University, and Dr. Ed Coyle Bonner Class of '67 & World Champion Bodybuilder and Author. Long time supporter, Mr. Charles DeFeo, also graced us with his presence.

Special honors were given to our own Mike DeLacy, Class of 1991 and member of the 2009 roster. His number was officially retired - #1 and given to his Father and sister. Mike'sFootball teamates attended and were featured in a DVD presentation that showed highlights of the "Tackle ALS" benefit that they run each year at Monsignor Bonner. This is a very worthy cause and dear to their hearts. We ask all Monsignor Bonner alumni and present students to attend this annual benefit and assist in making it special. Last but not least, we were fortunate to have several highlight films available , including one by our own Brenden Guiterrez, Class of 2009. All classes were represented on the big screen from Freshman to Varsity. Ending our night was a traditional Roast to our Senior Class - a photographic walk down memory lane and a keepsake for all Senior Football players who are going on to new and exciting challenges. Never forget, once a Bonner Brother, always a Bonner Brother - forever.
