Recruiting begins as soon you enter High School. Your grades, your attitude and your committment to your sport all make a difference in where you may go to College. Remember that a small percentage of High School Football players actually receive athletic scholarships, wtih the number who go to Div 1 colleges even smaller. Be realistic about what you are capacle of and target those colleges. Consult with the Head Coach to see where you can make improvements to your level of play and increase your skills. Play your best, work hard and study hard. Do not miss practices, lifting or meetings. Show the coach that you are committed to the program.

9th Grade - Start prepartion. Consult with your guidance counselor for a good choice of courses, and preparation resources. Think about what you would like to do with your life - take a personality test to see what your strengths are. Play your best, work hard and study hard.

10th Grade - Take the PSAT; a good score will attract the attention of colleges, even at this early date. It will also prepare you for the actual test when you are ready to take it. Take as many sample tests as possible. Get used to the format. It will also help you identify weaknesses and help you to increase your skills in these areas. Play your best, work hard and study hard.

11th grade - Take the tests as often as possible, to accumulate the best possible combination of scores. Visit the colleges you are interested in and meet with the Coaches. Compile Highlight video and ensure your stats are posted. Play your best, work hard and study hard.
